Fall Favorites in Destin, Florida

Fall is a great time to visit Destin, Florida. With adults back to work and kids back in school there is no traffic on the roads and the crowds are few. The weather is still warm enough for a walk in our powder white sand and a dip in our emerald green ocean. A slower season means lower prices with specials for fall and snowbird rentals on the beautiful beaches of Destin, Florida. A calendar full of our favorite area festivals are held throughout the fall season. 

The Destin Seafood Festival takes place every year on the Destin harbor at the beginning of October. This three day event is a treasured tradition among locals and those who visit Destin often. The boardwalk will be full of arts & craft vendors as well as food & drink vendors. Live music will sound off three separate stages playing a variety of genres to complete this three day party along the gulf.

Destin shows its Oktoberfest spirit with two beer festivals in the month of October. You’ll have the opportunity to choose from over 200 domestic and international craft beers for sampling. Brewers will be available at the event to answer questions about the process. Live music will be featured throughout both festivals! 

Wine lovers you are not left out! Every November wine connoisseurs and novices are lured to our area for the Seeing Red Wine Festival. Held in the famous 30A beach town, Seaside, Florida, Seeing Red Wine Festival has become a sell-out event. The four day festival includes reserve wine tastings, dinners and a brunch with featured winemakers. Seaside’s popular restaurants present their wine pairing skills with delicious farm-to-fork and gulf-to-table signature dishes partnered with the featured wines. 

Seafood, beer and wine with an amazing view, it doesn’t get better than that. Pair that with outdoor concerts, movies and beach festivities for an unforgettable fall season!
