Henderson State Park

Henderson Beach State Park is located just east of Destin, or in my opinion, in the heart of Destin.

It was privately owned land by the Henderson Family but in early 1980's the estate was sold and it was finally opened to the public in 1991.

In an attempt to maximize the amount of people that could experience the parks unique surrounding views and beach access they added a campsite and all the amenties in March of 2000.

Now people come from all over the world to camp or just simply visit this state park for the day. The park is open daily from 8am to sunset, during the summer this park is one of the most visited properties in Destin. Our advice is to come during the off season and enjoy a nice quite camping weekend with your family. It begins getting cooler here around the end of October and the beginning of November, the perfect camping whether.
