Mardi Gras 2022

Florida may not be the center of the Mardi Gras celebration but you would not be able to tell with how many parades we have down here! 

There will be one in Panama city, Miramar, Destin, Fort Walton, Navarre, AND Pensacola.

The two we recommend are HarborWalk Village in Destin and the parade hosted by Fort Walton Beach and you can go to both!

The Destin HarborWalk Village will have a Mardi gras event starting at 2pm with lived music and street performers, while the official parade will begin at 4pm and run for about an hour. There will be beads, snacks, candy, and anything else you can think of thrown from the many floats representing businesses throughout the Destin area. This will be Saturday February the 26th, lets all cross our fingers for the perfect 65 degree weather it has been all week!

The city of Fort Walton always has the best parades because they block off most of the main roads in downtown. Its a beautiful sight to see all the floats on those wide open roads surrounded by thousands of children waiting for people to throw all the goodies to them! On the intersection of first street and Miracle strip road they will have a few live music DJ's playing. The band will be playing throughout the event from 1-5 and the local food trucks parked there normally will be open and available to the public as well. This event is on Sunday the 13th, which incidentally is also the Super Bowl kickoff!

As a side note* The super bowl will not start on Sunday until 6:30, so if you attend this amazing parade with the kids all day, then you can get a sitter for the kids during the game and have a night for the adults, guilt free.
