Florida came out of the ocean around 30 million years ago and has kept its shape ever since. This means that you will never find ANY Dinosaur fossils in Florida because it was completely submerged during this time.

Can you imagine if it just stayed under the ocean depths? None of these facts would be true for me to share with you today.

•  Florida has the most Gulf Courses in the Country
•  Orange Blossom is the Florida State flower, which have a wonderful fragrance but are not orange, (they're White)
• Orange juice became Floridas state drink in the year 1967 
• Jacksonville, FL is the biggest city in the U.S. with a population of over 1Million 
• Fort Lauderdale, FL is the "Yachting Capital of the World"

• Florida is home to 11 National Parks National Parks
• The Everglades, taking up half of South Florida, provides drinking water to about 7 million people
• It is illegal to skateboard without a license (although no one follows this)
